Complete and total Randomness

I was walking from my last class today, back to my apartment, and I though about some random things that bother me and then I was like, "Hey why don't I post that on my blog... some random things about me!" Not that anyone actually reads this blog, but I feel as though one day at least one person will read it and be like, "Wow that Natalie girl is kinda funny." Okay maybe not, but I can hope can't I?

I took this picture at the Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth, TX on spring break!

I started writing this in my Biology class tonight... my computer died... sad day... but then we got let out about 45 minutes early AND we got extra credit for just showing up to class tonight. Oh happy day!

Okay so the random stuff about me....

1) It really bothers me when people do not walk on the right side of the sidewalk or hallway, and it bugs me when they try to go out the door you are supposed to go in. It creates an awkward moment between you and (usually) a complete stranger... all because they didn't go through the right side of the doorway...
2) When people walk and text and they pay absolutely no attention to where they are going, and then you have to jump out of their way to avoid getting run over... yeah those people bug me... a lot
3) I work at an office on campus and one of the absolute worst things is when people call in or come into the office and get mad at you for telling them something they just don't want to hear... like a rule, or a law we have to abide by... crazy I tell you!
4) I tend to wear a smile even when I don't want to
5) I really do not like feet... they're just... eww
6) I am getting my ears pierced again this weekend and I'm pretty excited about it
7) I really want to lay in my backyard one night and just look at the stars
8) I'm a gum addict... I got through about 5 pieces a day
9) I have become a Lady Antebellum fan recently
10) I want to sky dive sometime in the next 10 years
11) I desperately need to find a summer job...
12) I will be home for summer in 36 days :)
13) I put some peanut butter and melted chocolate chips on a caramel flavored rice cake
yesterday... best idea I've had in a while
14) Dancing with the Stars is one of my new favorite shows
15) Yes, I have my own farm in Farmville :)
16) I use my middle name entirely too much when referring to myself... people actually thought for a while that my middle name was actually my last night... I found it humorous
These are the kinds of things I think up when I am bored friends :) Or when I do not want to do my homework. Haha. I hope you enjoyed my randomness. If you didn't, that's okay.

Blog Stalking

I'm becoming a blog stalker! Not in a creepy way, well at least I don't think. But anyways, I've recently started searching for fun food blogs to follow (more specifically blogs all about the super unhealthy but oh so delicious desserts people make). I ran across one today called Bakingblonde's Weblog. So of course I HAD to become a follower because 1) I'm also a blonde and 2) I also love to bake stuff! I hope my first food blog of choice turns out to be a very inspirational one! :)

Spring Break!!

Oh my goodness I cannot believe I am just now writing about the best Spring Break of my entire life! Beginning at 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 6 and going until about 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 14, God did amazing things for us, through us, and with us!

Got started off kinda rough... Kasee and I went to be around midnight Friday because we were entirely too excited to sleep... we (thought we) had 3 alarms set to wake us up at 4:00 a.m....thank goodness my phone (singing Taylor Swift) went off at 4:00 and nearly scared us to death because our other 2 alarms did not go off!!! We finished packing, finished watching The Hannah Montana Movie, and even did the Hoedown Throwdown! :) We were supposed to leave at 6:00... well USI gave one of our vans away...it was 7:00 before we left, so we weren't too far off schedule. 15 1/2 hours later we were in our apartment...our 2 bedroom apartment...all 14 of us! God had already been working on me before the trip ever began, but boy did He do some work that night when we got to our home for a week. I was tired, cranky, and just wanted a shower and some sleep...the shower in our room didn't work (it became known as the Pioneer Shower), we couldn't come to a decision about how to put 6 people in one room (our floor was all matresses!), and it ended up being almost 1:00 before I got to sleep.

Throughout the week we did many service projects, worked with our kids at Rainbow Express, and had lots of fun! I cannot even begin to explain how much fun we really had. We laughed, we cried, we worked, and played a lot of card games (and put on an amazing talent show, if I do say so myself). Through all of it...the rain, the sunshine and amazing weather, the sweat and sunburn, the tears...God showed me so much about myself - how selfish I am, how LUCKY I am, and how easy it is to help someone out a little bit.

We cleaned out some pretty janky apartments, found all kinds of stuff I never really cared to clean up. We got to work at Mission Arlington for a day and help them do their daily thing - taking donations, organizing the food pantry (Clif bars... that's all I have to say). We did Rainbow Express (Backyard Bible Club/VBS) for kids at an apartment complex and that was by far my favorite part of the entire week. At the same time it absolutely broke my heart because the kids we worked with were so pitiful and needed love so badly. Part of my heart is still in Arlington.

So would I do it again? Absolutely. Every bit of it. From being crammed in a tiny, dirty apartment all week to the cleaning, barely sleeping, and crying over leaving our kids - I would do every bit of it again in a heartbeat.
