Life = Crazy!

Holy shifter cables Batman! I cannot believe I have been home for over 2 months now for summer. It has gone by so quickly :( I have done a lot of working, hanging out with my family, reading, and spoiled my dog a little bit more.

My summer started off with braces...yay rah...okay not really so yay rah because I was not a happy camper about having to get them (again) but when it's all said and done with (hopefully) my jaws will be fixed and I won't have a gap between my teeth anymore!

This is my little cousin, Peyton, and me at the ball park earlier this summer!

So let's see...right after braces, I started working. I started out on the Can Line (sounds exciting right??) and learned how to do everything over there...then I got moved to the Combi Line where I record numbers and measurements every half hour. Did I mention the Combi Line is 12 hour shifts??? Work days are not so fun, but they days off are totally worth it!

I was, again, a counselor at Hoosier Girls State this year! I was a Government Counselor this year so I saw a rather different side to the whole shin-dig and it was a lot more stressful than I ever thought it would be, but at the end of the week when I looked back, I said it was all worth it and I can't wait until next year to get to do it all again!

After HGS, I decided to...chop all of my hair off!!!

Yep - I was over the long hair and decided it was time for something new! I'm still trying to get used to it but I love love love LOVE it!

This past week was fair week. I was in the fair parade last weekend with some friends for their Ride for a Cure float. The Ride for a Cure was started in 2007 when one of my mom's best friends, who also worked at Pepsi with her and the people who started the ride, was diagnosed with cancer. Each year they plan a bike ride to raise money for a cancer patient, and have also raised money for the American Cancer Society. It was a very emotional day, remembering my mom's best friend Wendy, who passed away in December of 2007. But it was also great walking in the parade and telling more people about the ride and remembering her the whole way!

This is me, Steve and Missy (they are the ones who started the ride) before the parade started!

And this is our float and everyone else who helped us out!

That basically has been my summer, thus far, in a nutshell. I am sad that it is going by so quickly, but it always does. I am anxious/excited/nervous/happy to get back to school in about a month and a half, but not ready for all the stress that comes with the whole shebang.

Hopefully I will write more frequently until then for you stalkers out there :)
