Daisies

I am so excited!! I may actually have a hint of green in my thumbs (or at least one of them) after all.

My first week home from school, I bought a pink daisy plant at Menard's, and a cute little yellow pot to go with it. I brought my daisy home, planted it in the pot, and waited anxiously for it to grow and bloom and be beautiful. My daisy had a grey fungus thing on it that I thought would go away when I plucked it off...nope...my daisy died...BUT...

My daisy is coming back to life!

And I am so excited!

I can't wait until it fully blooms and blossoms and looks all beautiful!

I was telling my dad about it today while we were golfing, and I had a deep thought. Me loving daisies like I do, compared myself (and us as humans in general) to my daisy plant.

Sometimes we get a little fungus in our lives, but thank goodness God is right there to help us back and turn us into something beautiful as one of His creations. It made me smile and gave me hope.

Nature is one of my absolute favorite things ever. God's quite the artist. I get to see the sunrise every morning on my way home from work. And when I get up in the afternoon/evenings I walk outside to check on my daisy and it just keeps growing and becoming more beautiful every day. I like to think my daisy coming back is another gift from God because, well for one He's just good like that, and two He knew it was something small that would just brighten my day. How awesome that He loves us so much and gives us gifts each and every day!
