I'm still here, I promise. Life has flown by for the past month and it has been so busy and crazy and wonderful all at the same time! Rather than bore you with all of the details of my not-so-exciting life, I will just give a brief update :)
Passion:
AMAZING
MIND-BLOWING
UNBELIEVABLE
LIFE CHANGING
(yes, it was absolutely necessary to put every one of those words in all caps)
Zach:
Got back safe and sound from Myanmar on Jan. 7. I went with his parents to the airport to get him and just about tackled the poor guy when he walked up to us. I missed him...just a little bit though :) It was a great trip for him, and I still have lots to hear and am looking forward to hearing about it. It's been great trading stories about how God worked in both of us while he was gone, what we both learned, etc. Distance definitely made these hearts grow fonder.
We celebrated 11 months on Saturday :) We spent our evening going to dinner, walking around Wal-Mart for over an hour (we do that quite frequently, it's rather fun, not gonna lie), and then played In a Pickle for about 2 hours. Nothing fancy...and that's what I love about us...I mean really, how many people do you know who could walk around Wal-Mart for over an hour together and have a great time like we do??
School:
Student teaching last week = AWESOME! I am not a morning person at all, and I am rather grouchy when I get out of bed each morning, but by the time I get to school and see all 26 of my 2nd graders, I am just so excited and ready to go for the day. It was an exhausting week...and I didn't do a whole lot, lots of observing, passing out and grading papers, that kind of stuff. The kids are absolutely wonderful and I love them all already. There are so many funny things that happen each day, I wish I could keep a list of all of them, but there are too many things and I could never keep up with them all! I get to start teaching some this week - EXCITED!!! I know this semester is going to be absolutely wonderful and I am so glad that it is finally here!
